A brand campaign that rewinds a dream — revealing everything women overcome before they get to play.
“Before That” is a celebration of the inclusive power of sport and a reminder that every big moment has a long story behind it. Created within Nike’s “Just Do It” spirit, the campaign champions athletes whose dreams push against norms, biases, and barriers.
The narrative begins with Candelaria Cabrera, an eight-year-old from Chabás, Argentina, who fought for permission to play mixed soccer — and, in doing so, inspired her local league to create opportunities for girls who came after her.
Working with Nike, we crafted a story told in reverse chronology: from the dream of becoming a champion back through every obstacle that women face to simply play the sport they love. The result is a campaign that highlights resilience, community, and the quiet revolutions that move sport — and culture — forward.
