Branding the world’s largest marketplace to feel less store — and more Play.

Google Play is home to one of the world’s most expansive collections of apps, games, and entertainment. But with such breadth, the brand wasn’t fully expressing why Play — it felt functional, passive, easy to overlook. We set out to show that Google Play is more than a store; it’s an invitation to discover, explore, and play.

Working closely with Google, we redesigned the brand system across its global ecosystem. The prismatic logo became a playful navigator — spinning, tilting, and shifting to guide people through endless choices and toward what they love. Motion introduced new perspectives, supported by flexible shapes, typography, and color that scale with clarity and character.

The result is a brand that reconnects Google Play to its spirit — turning every interaction into a moment to explore, create, and Go Play.
